A Nigerian woman has recounted a frightening encounter on TikTok with a man who she says harassed, bullied and threatened her while she was returning from a market in the Abeokuta area.
The incident occurred while she was riding on a commercial motorcycle after stopping at a restaurant to pick up some items, before heading to another location to buy cabbage.
She said another motorcycle attempted to overtake theirs, after which the man riding it allegedly began questioning her about what she was wearing and telling her to cover her body.
At first, she was confused by the confrontation, as she had not been paying attention to what was happening behind her because of the traffic and noise in the area.
She alleged that the man overtook their motorcycle again and eventually stopped, forcing her to get down and ask what the problem was.
According to her, the situation escalated as the man began shouting at and confronting her. She said she responded in turn, questioning why he was so concerned about her appearance.
The woman further claimed that the man bullied and harassed her during the exchange, and allegedly threatened her, insisting he was not afraid of being reported to the police because of his mother's alleged influence.
She said the ordeal left her shaken, particularly because she is still recovering from bone surgery and was anxious about the risk of getting injured during the confrontation.
