A son has taken the witness stand in the trial of his own mother.

Ufuoma Famous, who is accused of murdering her husband, Famous Gideon, is being tried at the Delta State High Court, Ughelli Judicial Division, where her son testified as one of the prosecution’s two witnesses.
He gave evidence relating to the allegations against her.
Ufuoma Famous faces a three-count charge.
Count One alleges that she murdered her husband. Count Two accuses her of murdering a woman identified as Mrs Edoh, who is alleged to have been in a relationship with Mr Gideon. In Count Three, she is accused of attempting to murder a third person, Felicia.
The alleged offences reportedly took place in January 2026 at Ighrovie, Ughelli.

The case is being heard before Justice Sunny Adolor.
The prosecution is led by Peter Daubry, Esq., a Deputy Director in the Delta State Ministry of Justice.
