
According to Punch Newspapers, sources revealed that the gesture provoked his father, Iseleto, who allegedly tricked Miracle into following him to a nearby bush.
There, he stabbed his son several times with a dagger.
Bleeding heavily, Miracle dragged himself to the road where compassionate passersby spotted him and rushed him to a local hospital.
In his final moments, he managed to tell those around him how his father had lured and attacked him.
Despite efforts to save him, Miracle succumbed to his injuries, leaving behind a devastated mother and siblings grappling with unimaginable loss.
A resident of the community told newsmen, "The suspect is a drunkard and chronic debtor who always beats his wife whenever he drinks himself to stupor. At such times, he would want to forcefully have s3xual intercourse with his wife in the presence of their children in their one-room apartment, and when she refuses, he starts beating her.”
The source added, “The suspect also attempted to have carnal knowledge of his step-daughter, and because she refused him, he drove her out of the house.”
In chilling phone calls after the killing, Iseleto reportedly admitted the crime to his step-daughter and contacted other relatives, threatening to kill his wife and step-daughter for leaving the marital home and ending the marriage.
He fled the community immediately after the act.
The Delta State Police Command spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident, stating that the suspect remains at large as authorities intensify their manhunt.
