Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, known worldwide as Davido, has revealed a major shift in his personal life and priorities in a recent interview opening up about stepping away from his once energetic nightlife and clubbing routine to focus more on family life, quiet moments at home and rest.

Speaking on The LongForm Podcast in a conversation shared online earlier this week, Davido said the days of going out to clubs every night are behind him.
He explained that while fame, money and youth once pulled him toward constant nightlife, his perspective has changed with age, experience and family commitments.
“Back then it was like club every night all the time,” he said, reflecting on how he and his friends used to party frequently. But now he prefers quiet days in the studio, relaxed get togethers with close friends and quality time with his wife.
During a recent stay in Nigeria that lasted nearly two months, Davido noted that he barely went out at all, choosing instead to stay at home, rest and enjoy simple moments that he now finds more fulfilling than loud parties or late nights.
Family life especially has become central to his routine. The singer shared that he now prioritizes spending evenings at home, checking in with his wife and even catching sleep early when possible. He described the shift as peaceful, calm and more meaningful than his previous lifestyle.
Davido still makes time for music and performance, highlighting that he remains energetic and focused when it is time to record or go on stage. His transformation reflects a balance between career demands and personal wellbeing, showing how his priorities have evolved as a husband, father and artist.
