A family in Wales is trying to bring home a sister, a mother and a baby girl who never got to be born.

Claire Chadwick, 40, who left the UK to start a new life in Nigeria with her husband, Ibrahim, has died along with her unborn child. She was 37 weeks pregnant and expecting a baby girl.
“More than anything, we want them both returned so they can be laid to rest with dignity, surrounded by the family who love them,” her sister Shannon said.
Claire developed sepsis and died from septic shock after her baby had died in the womb.
Her family has launched a GoFundMe to raise £10,000 to fly her 3,000 miles home to the UK. Shannon said the response to the fundraiser was “overwhelming”.
She thanked the charity REST, which supports bereaved families of those who die abroad suddenly or tragically.
Shannon said her sister is survived by her 19-year-old son in Wales, her husband and family “who loved her dearly”.
“She was a woman who lived her life in her own way, and she will leave a lasting impression on everyone who knew her,” Shannon told WalesOnline.
Claire, described as “funny” and “fiercely strong-minded”, had moved to Nigeria to be with her husband. She amassed thousands of followers on social media in recent years.
She and Ibrahim regularly posted videos on TikTok and Instagram about food challenges, their faith and their relationship.
The Daily Mail has approached the Foreign Office for comment.
