Actress Blames Parenting for Producing 'Monsters' in Society

Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has laid the blame for societal delinquency on parenting, stating that many mothers and fathers are the root cause of the ‘monsters’ in society today.

The actress argued that many mothers in the past stayed with husbands who beat them, and in doing so, mistakenly taught their sons that violence is acceptable.

She also pointed out that many parents believe beating is the only way to correct a child, a practice she said teaches children to be violent themselves.

In a post shared on social media, Etinosa criticised this generational cycle of domestic abuse and corporal punishment, calling on the younger generation to break the chain.

According to her, it is now up to the new generation to stop these old habits and raise children without violence.
