The sudden demise of Olugbenga Abiodun popularly known as Dj Olu has caused great grief to his family, his businessman and politician father, Dapo.
Abiodun has expressed his interest to contest in the 2019 gubernatorial elections in Ogun State under the flagship of a party not yet disclosed.

His campaign posters which have been on social media as far back as February this year has caused many to feel sympathetic for him, wondering how he would handle some of his political engagements now that he is grieving his son. A couple of dedicated social media accounts have been spreading his political ambitions ahead of the 2019 governorship pool.

So far, Dapo Abiodun has never considered quitting as an option. If you will recall, he had contested alongside Buruji Kashamu in 2015 in the Ogun East Senatorial district poll but eventually lost to him, giving Kashamu a victory which saw him emerge as the senator representing the senatorial district he contested for.
Meanwhile, the burial arrangement for DJ Olu has been announced by his family.
