A pregnant woman has safely delivered a baby boy inside the popular Gbagi Market in Ibadan, Oyo State, after she unexpectedly went into labour while shopping for baby essentials.
The incident occurred on Monday evening when the woman, who had visited the market to purchase items for her unborn child, suddenly began experiencing labour pains.
According to eyewitnesses, traders and market women quickly rallied around her, turning one of the shops into a temporary delivery room. With the assistance of the women at the market, she successfully gave birth to a baby boy before she could be taken to a hospital.
The unusual delivery drew the attention of many shoppers and traders, who gathered at the scene as news of the birth spread across the market.
Witnesses praised the market women for their prompt response and composure during the emergency, noting that their efforts contributed to the safe delivery of both mother and child.
