* A popular content creator and her friend lured under false of a high-paying modelling gig.
* Blackmail with stolen intimate media left the victims traumatised and silenced by fear.
* Police confirm no formal report yet.
In the bustling streets of Lagos, Titilope, widely known as Fems Thrift, a vibrant thrift vendor and content creator, on February 1, was contacted by a 'returnee' her on Instagram, claiming he had returned from the United Kingdom to launch an international fashion brand in Nigeria.

He offered her N140,000 to model and promote it using her social media reach.
Excited but cautious, Fems Thrift agreed after assurances of a professional setup with a makeup artist and crew.
Her close friend, always by her side, decided to accompany her for safety on the scheduled day, February 8.
The two women, like sisters forged through shared laughter and support, arrived together at an apartment in Ajao Estate around 11am, hopeful for a breakthrough.
The space stood eerily empty. The man explained the makeup artist had stepped out briefly and called it a content creation hub.
He urged Fems Thrift to shower due to "excessive oil on her skin" and handed her a robe.
Trusting the process, she complied.
Her friend waited nearby, unaware of the nightmare unfolding.
After the bath, the suspect entered the room, locked the door with a key, and stood in a corner.
“He locked the door, stood in a corner, and I became scared,” she recounted in her viral TikTok video.
Fear escalated to terror as he brandished a knife, ordered both women to undress, tied their hands with socks, and threatened to stab them if they resisted.
“He sexually assaulted us multiple times without protection,” she alleged.
The violation stretched on, stripping away dignity and leaving deep scars on bodies and souls.
Before releasing them between 2pm and 3pm, he seized their phones, forced them to unlock private folders, and transferred intimate photos and videos via AirDrop.
“He threatened me with my internet presence, saying if I spoke up, he would release my private videos now and in the future,” she added.
The blackmail aimed to silence them forever.
The two women escaped, clinging to each other amid shock and pain, their unbreakable bond now a lifeline through trauma.
Fems Thrift's courageous video has ignited outrage across social media, with users sharing purported photos of the suspect and demanding swift arrest.
Yet as of February 11, no formal complaint reached authorities.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer Abimbola Adebisi stated, “Efforts are ongoing to reach out to the lady to commence an investigation.”
Families and friends rally in anguish, questioning why such predators exploit trust in a city hungry for success.
