A domestic dispute has turned fatal in Jema'a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, after a 20-year-old man allegedly stabbed his elder brother to death, leading to his arrest by troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP).
The suspect, identified as Abubakar Usman, was arrested at the scene by troops and taken into custody for further investigation and necessary legal action.
According to intelligence sources who spoke to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the incident occurred at about 8:00 a.m. on August 2, 2026, at Ungwon Hausawa Village, Gidan Waya District.
The sources said troops of Sector 7 OPEP responded to a distress call over the stabbing of a Fulani man by his younger brother.
On arrival, the troops found the victim critically injured and rushed him to hospital, where he later died.

Security sources noted that the reason behind the deadly altercation has not yet been established, with investigations continuing to unravel what led to the incident.
