Zainab Jamshaid, 20, born female but identifying as male during their two year relationship, met her girlfriend at college, where sparks flew and promises of forever seemed genuine.

The young woman, whose identity remains protected, described the early days as "perfect," filled with affection and shared dreams as reported by THE SUN.
As the relationship deepened, the victim felt the weight of constant surveillance and emotional manipulation, humanizing the all too common slide from love to entrapment that many in abusive partnerships endure.
The turning point came when the complainant uncovered Jamshaid's infidelity with a former partner, igniting arguments that revealed a darker side.
Prosecutors at Hove Crown Court detailed how Jamshaid allegedly locked her in a bathroom for a day, strangled her, struck her with a wine bottle, punched her until she lost consciousness, and scratched a 'Z' into her leg.
Prosecutor Sarah Lindop told the court: "It was as if marking her as his."
The assaults intensified, with Jamshaid allegedly using a prosthetic p3nis she wore at all times to violate her partner.
One incident unfolded at a hotel in Woking in April 2023.
Ms Lindop described, "The complainant had got out of the shower and defendant had started to kiss and touch her but then began getting aggressive. She told him to stop but to no effect. He told her to shut up and carried on.
"He had on him his prosthetic penis and that was when he used it on her. She was crying throughout this. She was saying no and asking him to stop." Another assault occurred in October 2023, where pleas fell on deaf ears.
The complainant confided to police that Jamshaid "would wear it at all times," turning intimacy into terror.
The relationship ended in February 2024 amid escalating violence, but the horror persisted. Jamshaid, now identifying as female again, allegedly entered her home post breakup and assaulted her despite her using a pre agreed safe word.
Ms Lindop revealed, "She spoke of saying ‘No’, using the safe word but the defendant carrying on regardless and getting a some sort of thrill. He was getting some sort of kick out of it."
Jamshaid denies 14 charges, including assault by penetration, common assault by beating, and controlling and coercive behavior.
