Jermaine Bentley, a single father in Kingston, Jamaica, is preparing to move his two young children into a new three-bedroom prefab house after, Anethan Lothian, a US businesswoman offered the home following his viral videos showing daily family life on TikTok.

While the house is ready, Bentley still needs a piece of land or a lease in the Kingston area to place it.
Bentley and his children face eviction from their current two-bedroom home.

He told THE STAR, “We have been given eviction notice since January, as the property was sold but, because I had the kids, I was given a little more time. But they are fixing up the property and they are almost finished, so I know I will have to leave soon.”
The roof of their current house leaks heavily during rain and is partially covered by a tarpaulin, with the conditions worsening right before a hurricane.
Bentley, known for videos of cooking, cleaning, and raising his daughter and son with gentle discipline and affection, was contacted by Lothian after seeing the videos and offered the help.
He said, “It was right before the hurricane and the roof was leaking hard, so she reached out to me and told me that she was willing to offer me a three-bedroom prefab house, and she sent me a link on social media and showed me what it look like. The only problem is that I don't have any land to put the house on, but she is also trying to get somewhere for us.”
Lothian, who operates a charity and has given out many such houses in Jamaica, funded this one from her own pocket.
She said, “I give out a lot of these houses in Jamaica so, when I learned about his situation, I wanted to help. I operate a charity but I funded this house from my own pocket. I notice the water was going in on him and the kids and it was just not a good look.
"It was devastating and I knew I had to help. The house is ready and waiting for him, so it's just to get the land. I have been trying to get a piece of land for him as well. Even if we could get somewhere to lease in Kingston, that would work.”
Bentley believes that once settled in the new house, he will be able to start a small business to support his family.
