A Nigerian woman, Promise Mgbeosoro, has gone viral after sharing on Facebook how childbirth affected her intimacy with her husband, describing a severe tear during delivery that has left her worried about her marriage.
According to Promise, the size of her first baby caused significant tearing during labour, and she suspects the stitching afterwards was not properly done.
"After I had my first child, my vagina became so open, very wide o," she wrote. "My first child was so big and I had a severe tear. I was stitched but I don't think the midwife stitched it properly."
She said her baby is now 11 months old, but she still feels the effects of the tear during intimate moments with her husband.
"My first baby is 11 months now and I still feel so open down there," she said. "Whenever am having fun with my husband I don't feel him anytime he enters, it will be like nothing entered there."
Promise added that the situation has become a source of tension in her marriage, as her husband has complained about it whenever she asks him if he has penetrated.
"This have left me very worried because my husband is complaining about it especially when I do ask him if he have enter or not," she wrote.
She then turned to other mothers for advice, asking if anyone had gone through a similar experience and how they managed to recover.
"Moms did you experienced such and how did you make it to close up small," she asked.
