A 38-year-old man, Craig Anthony Anderson, is serving a prison sentence after he sexually assaulted four women and stalked another while they travelled alone on trains and at stations across London and Surrey.
He was sentenced to one year and 10 months in prison at The Old Bailey on 23 March 2026, while also receiving a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and two restraining orders.

The offences took place between June and October 2025 as Anderson targeted lone women on the transport network.
Police Catch Man From Meeting Child He Planned to Abuse
On 14 June 2025, he followed a young woman up the stairs at Bank Underground Station, asked for her name and phone number, told her she looked 'sexy', and sexually assaulted her after she asked him to leave her alone.
He stuck his tongue out and laughed as he walked away.
On 26 June 2025, Anderson tried to start a conversation with another young woman on a train at Guildford.
They exchanged phone numbers, but he began harassing her with texts, he followed her from Epsom railway station onto a train to Victoria, verbally abused her, and tried to snatch her belongings.
She hid in the toilets at Canary Wharf until he left but he continued sending her sexual messages and images until his arrest.
On 2 August 2025, Anderson approached a young woman as she left Liverpool Street station, tapping her on the arm, asked where she was going, requested her social media details, and asked to touch her.
When she refused, he sexually assaulted her before walking off.
On 29 August 2025, he approached another woman at Westminster Underground Station, asked for directions to Finchley, followed her up the escalator, sexually assaulted her, and laughed as he turned back down.
On 6 October 2025, Anderson asked a woman for directions at Purley railway station and sat next to her on the train, asked personal questions and for her contact details.
When she declined, he asked what she would do if he tried to kiss her, sexually assaulting her after she said she would report him to police and blocked her path.
She escaped at Redhill station.
British Transport Police identified Anderson from CCTV images.
Victims identified him in a parade.
Officers arrested him on 9 October 2025 as he attended an interview at the Passport Office in Canning Town, claiming he would soon leave the UK.
Anderson made derogatory comments about the victims in the police car and under caution, however, he denied being at the locations despite CCTV evidence.
Following a trial in January 2026, Anderson was found guilty of four counts of sexual assault and one count of stalking.
Detective Constable Libby Wildego from British Transport Police said, “Anderson is a dangerous predator who preyed on women for his own sexual gratification. Just as he did throughout the assaults themselves, when we questioned him under caution he smirked throughout and offered no comment, highlighting the sheer lack of remorse for his actions.
"It is thanks to the brave victims who came forward and supported our investigation that we have seen Anderson sentenced for his horrific crimes. Despite his own behaviour in court where he voluntarily left before he received his sentence, I hope this result provides some sense of comfort for the victims.”
