Osabohein Ologbose Chief Executive Officer of Onome Global Market Resources Limited and Lexicon Multi-Concept Media Limited alongside his wife Hope Onome Oghelemu allegedly orchestrated a sophisticated fraud scheme.

Between January 2023 and April 2024 they convinced unsuspecting investors to pour money into a venture promising lucrative profits from procuring and exporting bitter kola and red kolanut to Hong Kong, China and Indonesia.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) revealed that victims received neither returns nor refunds leaving families devastated and dreams shattered.
The couple's operation appeared polished with funds funneled through corporate accounts and personal ones.
Investigators traced N340 million transferred from Hope's Access Bank account to Osabohein's Kuda Microfinance Bank account money he allegedly knew came from unlawful acts.
Another damning count accuses Osabohein of using N24.1 million from the same tainted source to establish and operate a music and photo studio at Crowther Plaza Gudu District Abuja.
This lavish upgrade symbolized how alleged crime proceeds fueled their lifestyle while investors waited in vain for promised wealth.
On Monday, February 16 2026, the EFCC arraigned the pair and their two companies before Justice Ekerete Akpan of the Federal High Court Abuja on seven counts of obtaining by false pretence conversion of funds and money laundering contrary to Section 18(2)(b) and punishable under Section 18(4) of the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act 2022.
The charges paint a picture of coordinated criminality where husband and wife allegedly worked in tandem one collecting funds the other laundering them through businesses.
Defence counsel Marshal Abubakar sought continued administrative bail for Osabohein and bail for Hope citing her nursing a one-year-old baby.
