A 36-year-old woman has been arrested in Onitsha, Anambra State, over allegations that she exploited her own daughter to produce abusive content for online distribution.

According to the Anambra State Police Command, the case came to light after a disturbing video was reported, allegedly showing the suspect, identified as Anulika Onyeanusia, abusing a minor.
Investigators say the material was allegedly used to generate income online.
Confirming the arrest to newsmen, the command's spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the operation led to the rescue of four children, aged 2, 3, 6 and 9, along with the recovery of items relevant to the investigation.
Ikenga said the suspect is currently in police custody as the command intensifies its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the alleged offence and the possible involvement of other persons.
He added that the suspect's husband is also being interrogated to determine whether he has any connection to the alleged offence.
The police spokesperson said the State Commissioner of Police, Nnanna Oji Ama, is deeply disturbed by the allegations, describing them as unacceptable, particularly given that they involve the exploitation and abuse of children who are incapable of protecting themselves.
He has directed a thorough and professional investigation, while ensuring that the rescued children receive appropriate care and protection.
The suspect, for her part, has claimed that the circulating videos are AI-generated.
