The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a man and two accomplices for allegedly planning the abduction of his father, Alhaji Ahmadu, in Malabu.
The incident occurred on January 31 in Jera village, Fufore Local Government Area.
The suspects, identified as Lawali Haruba (45), Da’u Alhaji Ahmadu (28), and Yahaya Ibrahim (25), all residents of Jera in Fufore LGA, were apprehended following a swift police operation.
During interrogation, the biological son of the victim and his two friends reportedly confessed to their involvement in the crime.
Confirming the arrest to journalists, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, stated that efforts are ongoing to ensure the safe rescue of the victim and apprehend other members of the alleged criminal syndicate.
He added that the suspects are currently in police custody while investigations continue.
