The 58-year-old star, known for his powerful roles and political ventures, shared the story during a heartfelt interview on WithChude.
He described how his daughter, then in Junior Secondary School 1 at the elite Queens College in Lagos, became a target simply because of her father's identity.
Senior students singled her out, scolding and punishing her repeatedly for no reason other than being Bob-Manuel Udokwu's child.
To prevent fame from overshadowing their childhood, Udokwu and his wife Cassandra, an educationist to whom he has been married since 2000, made a deliberate choice.
They opted for public schools over private elite institutions, hoping to foster humility and normalcy.
"I did not want to be in their face so that I do not distract them. We agreed they were going to go to public school, because I also attended public schools," he explained.
Udokwu wanted his children — Elyon Chinaza and Marcus Garvey — to experience life without the constant distraction of his celebrity status.
"I have a good family. My kids are grown now. Being born and seeing your father is popular. And growing with all the inconveniences and all that," he said.
