Speaking on Yanga FM, the flamboyant entertainer, born Charles Oputa and known as much for his outspoken views as for his showmanship, reflected on 48 years of marriage to his wife with the kind of bluntness that only a man deeply secure in his relationship could afford.

Charly Boy’s version of a long marriage is not a fairy tale. It is work. It is noise. It is two people who have chosen, day after difficult day, to stay.
“All marriages are management, including my own. Me and my wife be like Tom and Jerry. We dey quarrel every day, and we will continue to dey quarrel and settle am,” he said.
