13 Children Dead as School Van Collides with Train
A school bus which collided with a train at the early hours of today, April 26, 2018, left thirteen children and the bus driver dead.

Ramkrishna Tiwari, an Area police officer who spoke about the sad incident confirmed the number of deaths. Tiwari said: “The bus was on its way to school when it met with the accident. Most of the victims died on the spot.”
The Police officer said the accident occurred close to the town of Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh state, India. According to the report, all the children that died were under the age of ten.
Other children injured in the crash were taken to a nearby hospital but the death toll has continued to increase due to the critical condition of the children.
Investigations have been ordered into the cause of the incident by the State Authorities. Police, however, blamed the driver for the accident, Tiwari said: “The accident occurred due to his negligent driving. He was listening to music on his headphones and did not stop the bus to check for the approaching train.”
Indian leaders have sent their condolences to the families of the children that lost their lives in the accident.
