Woman rolls on the floor as daughter delivers her baby

It was a mixed of drama and great excitement as a woman, Mrs Abiodun Usman at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) area of Lagos Island yesterday, rolled on the ground, jumping in celebration after a phone call informed her of her daughters safe delivery after travailing for three days.

Mrs Abiodun who sells body cream and some other household necessities also came to be a beneficiary of the humanitarian gestures of Rev Funke Felix Adejumo was sitted after registering her name when the news of her daughter’s safe delivery was broken to her via a phone call.

While speaking exclusively to DAILYFAMILY at Tafawa Balewa square she told us in Yoruba that her daughter has been travailing since three days now.

“I thank God because for three days now my daughter as been travailing and just some minutes ago I was told she has been delivered of her baby safely and that is why I was rolling myself on the floor in appreciation to the God of covenant”.

She further added that she has prayed to God that a dead child shouldn’t come out from a living mother and a living mother shouldn’t be delivered of a dead child.

The woman who noted that she is a Muslim also added that she resides in Mile 12 area of Lagos.

Mrs Abiodun’s elder sister, Mrs Esther Olakitan who was also sitting beside her confirmed the news. This is what she told us.

“My niece has been travailing since Monday. We have been praying and have had series of vigils. We almost decided not to come to this program (Women on the winning edge 2018), but I believe this place is my Shiloh and I know prayers are answered here that is why we came.

She further added.

“When I got here again I was told another child had body temperature and so I took the child for medical consultation. It was at the clinic where I was that the phone call came in that she has been delivered of a baby.

“Before now I have made a vow that when my niece is safely delivered I will dance and praise God”.

“Just last year I made a request to God and it was also granted”.

She finally prayed for Rev Funke Felix Adejumo, her supporters and staff saying she will increase and her joy shall know no bound.
