There was tension on Monday at the Federal College of Education (Special), FCE, Oyo town, when protesting students of the institution went on the rampage, destroying valuable properties in the Institution.
It was learnt that the students gathered on the campus to protest the death of their colleagues due to ‘ I don’t care ‘ attitude of the medical staff of the institution health centre.
A source who spoke with dailyfamily.ng on telephone said that the students were protesting as a result of the died of two students of the institution within a week.
He further explained that the students blamed the death of their colleagues on poor medical facilities and lackadaisical attitude of the medical staff.
It is yet to be confirmed whether the students died in the institution’s health facility or in another hospital.
Properties worth of millions of naira were reported damaged in the process of their protest.
