Text: Joshua 1:9, Deuteronomy 31:6
VERSE OF THE DAY: “….DON’T BE AFRAID OF THEM. REMEMBER THE LORD, WHO IS GREAT AND AWESOME, AND FIGHT FOR YOUR FAMILIES, YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS. YOUR WIVES AND YOUR HOMES”- NEHEMIAH 4:14.
Since the time of Adam and Eve, Satan has been out to destroy families. It is his number one priority. It has also become his pet project. He knows very well, that when the family unit is divided, widespread destruction and unbridled havoc can be wrecked. Statistical figures show that he is doing well in his nefarious and wicked activities against the family unit.
But we, as Christians, should never despair because there is hope for us in Christ Jesus. Nehemiah talks about when we fight for our families, God will fight for us. And the good news is, when God fights, it is a landslide victory. He wins every time!
We must stand for our families. We must fight for our children. We must fight for our spouses. To do this, you must not be a trained Ninja or a James bond. Your victory lies only in your knowledge weakness and humbled prayers so that the Lord sends His angelic armies to conquer on your behalf. This fight is aggressive, international, offensive and protective. It is the type of fight that keeps you up through the midnight hour, on your knees for those under your roof.
So, no matter what you are going through, let me encourage you: keep on fighting. Fight for what is left. Fight when it seems that you have no more strength, being aware that the enemy of your soul is waiting, just outside the door of your life. He poses no threat unless you forget he is there. Put on the whole armour of God and march forward into your family’s victory.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, strengthen me in the place of prayer as I contend for the peace, joy and security of all my family members, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
