Shocking: Police officer allegedly shot three people at child dedication

A Nigerian Police Officer has allegedly shot three people during child dedication in Warri, Delta state.

The police officer who identified as Inspector Samuel Imana, at area command in Warri, Delta state was allegedly shot three people under the influence of alcohol.

The incident occurred at a child dedication in Ejewo Street, Off Okere Ugberikoko Road in Warri, Delta state.

According to a report, two of the victims, one Elvis Kugbere and another man have been confirmed dead, while the third person is in coma, receiving treatment at UBTH.

A source said that Inspector Imana accompanied three Internet Fraudsters popularly known as Yahoo boys to a child dedication.

The problem was said to have started when the yahoo boys started spraying money, the police officer started shooting in display of his loyalty.

All of a sudden, the inspector who was one of the escorts allegedly pointed his gun directly at the crowd in close range and started shooting at them.

The first victim was immediately rushed to First rank Hospital within the area where the Divisional Police Officer,”B” Division in warri, CSP Anieteh Eyoh and other Senior Officers went to see him before he was transferred to Syracuse Hospital.

He was reported died three hours later after losing so much blood.

The Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, who confirmed the incident, he said that the policeman is under investigation and he is being charged for professional misconduct.
