There was an accident that occurred on Wednesday evening in Akure, the Ondo state capital which involved one of the vehicles of Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Adelusi and two people were allegedly killed.
According to reports gathered by dailyfamily.ng, the driver who drives the Monarch’s car was said to have been trailing a car parked in front of the palace to Idanre road on getting to Italorun village the car eventually hit the car been trailed and its occupants were allegedly killed.
The deceased persons are yet to be identified at the time of filing this reports.
It was learnt that the deceased were blood brothers who travelled from Ore in Odigbo Local Government Area of the state to Akure.
It was gathered that the deceased persons parked their car in front of the palace and they were ordered to move their car by the security in front of the palace but they reportedly adamant.
As a result of that, the security men call the attention of the monarch’s driver to the situation and after serious argument between them, they later start the engine of their car and drove off
It was learnt that the monarch’s driver was not satisfied with the situation, he trailed the car and eventually hit it, which was allegedly leading to the instant death of the driver of the car while his brother died at the hospital.
Speaking of the situation the monarch Chief who is in charge of tradition, called chief Sele. He said he will get back to us after consulting the Chief Press Secretary to the monarch, Mr Michael Adeyeye, but he had not replied as at press time.
Confirming the incident to dailyfamily newspaper on phone, the Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Femi Joseph said it was true that two people died during the accident.
