Robert Mugabe moves to make his wife his successor, sacks VP

Zimbabwean President of 37 years, Robert Mugabe has already started the move to make Grace, his 52-year-old wife his successor as the President of Zimbabwe.

The 93-year-old leader has sacked his powerful Vice-President, Emmerson Mnangagwa.

The information minister, Simon Khaya Moyo, confirmed to reporters at a press conference in Harare on Monday 6th November 2017 that Emmerson Mnangagwa had been removed from his post.

The 52-year-old first lady is however not a popular figure in Zimbabwe. Her recent alleged assault on a model she found in the company of her sons in a luxury apartment in Johannesburg, South Africa.
