Residents In Fear As Another Earth Tremor Hits Abuja (See Full Details)
Residents of Maitama area in Abuja are currently in fear as another earth tremor hit the area on Thursday, November 1st, 2018.

The incident was reported to have occurred around 12:26 pm in the afternoon. This is happening just about a month after the same area experienced an earth tremor.
Daily Trust reports that the Nigerian Geological Survey Agency (NGSA) confirmed that the earth tremor occurred at the Maitama district of Abuja.
The Statement released by NGSA reads: “Our preliminary findings indicated that the tremor occurred around 12.26pm around the vicinity of Panama Street in Maitama District. After field evaluations, the NGSA determined that the intensity was about 3.0 on the Mercalli Intensity Scale, which means it was felt indoors and lasted less than 1 minute.”
The agency also cleared that there was no structural damage due to the shake and that residents should remain calm as there was no cause for panic.
Further assessment exercises will be carried out by NGSA and the public will be fully informed about it.
