Pregnant Women: What To Get Ready For Your Delivery Day

The dream of every married couple is to one day have their own baby and the pressure is usually much on the newlywed where the bulk of the prayers they are offered before and on the wedding day is that after nine months people will come again to celebrate with them the birth of their children.
It is not enough to say amen to such prayer and also not enough to get pregnant but there must be solid preparation for the delivery day.
In this article, we shall be looking at things pregnant women must get ready for their delivery day ranging from those things you think are not really important.
Nightgown, you will definitely need a nightgown for yourself and this must be loose. It must be something you are comfortable in. let it be either sleeveless or short-sleeve so that your blood pressure can be easily checked.
Slippers, don’t get the one with a heel as you are not going to a fashion show but a serious business where you will need something that will help you move around easily. You might need to walk around the hall of the hospital during labour.
Toiletries, pack a toothbrush, toothpaste, towel, Dettol, Vaseline, petroleum jelly, comb, brush, tissue paper, soap, body cream. Don’t depend on what the hospital will give, it is better to get your own ready.
Nursing Bra or normal Bra, get a comfortable bra preferably nursing bra that will have the opening for you to breastfeed without stress and breast pads can be added to help absorb leaks.
Pairs of maternity underpants. Get cotton pants or if you prefer disposable pants so that once you get it stained you can dispose of it.
Sanitary pad, you will need this after delivery because you will definitely bleed. Make it the heavy-duty pads
Cloth, This one is meant for you, the cloth you will wear back to your house, make it a loose one because you will still look pregnant even after delivery
Many baby clothes, depending on the sex of your baby. Get enough cloth for the baby, that can be worn in the hospital and the one he/she will wear to the house
Shawl, this is needed to carry the baby because as a newborn, you a not meant to expose the baby
Bed sheet and covering cloth, though hospital will provide this, you cannot go wrong with it if you prefer to go along with your own
Cash, yes, you will need money. Just make sure you have some amount of money handy and then you can use your ATM card to make other payments if need be.
Bring your diaper, the hospital will definitely provide you with a diaper but make sure you have at least a pack with you.
Flask, you will need hot water and the hospital might not be able to get you every time you need. Storing it in your personal flask will help you
Flannel, it will be laid on the bed for your baby
Phone and Charger, don’t forget your phone and the battery charger. You can also go with your adapter
Cotton Bud, get for you and the baby
Cotton wool and methylated spirit
Bib, you will need this during breastfeeding to keep the baby clean
Extra Underwear, you will need to change
Camera, you might want to record the moment and have in your archive
Baby Wipes
Socks
Olive Oil
