All are set for the Monday protest by #endSARS protesters across the country has Nigeria Police Force reacted to the nationwide protest planned for Monday.
The Police has assured the people that they would not disrupt the planned nationwide protest by Nigerians as citizens have fundamental rights to expression and association.
According to the police spokesperson, Jimoh Moshood, “We respect the rights of all citizens to a peaceful gathering, expression, opinion and association.”
The protest is scheduled to take place in Lagos, Owerri, Kaduna, Port
It could be recalled that the #EndSARS campaign came at the time the Public Complaint Rapid Response Unit of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) gave Nigerians an opportunity to share their experience with SARS operatives.
The complaints made by Nigerians on social media, prompted the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris on Monday, ordered for the immediate reorganization of the Special Anti- Robbery Squad across the country.
Confirming the support of the Nigeria Police Force on the protest, the leader of Foundation for True Freedom and Good Leadership Adeyanju Deji, who is also one the team leader of #EndSarsRally, said the protest will hold Nationwide and that the Police stands with Nigerians on this issue.
