The General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church, Prophet S.K Abiara advised Mothers-in-law to avoid issues in their son’s marriages by knowing their boundaries and maintaining it.

Dailyfamily.ng was at the Holy Ghost Congress 2017 of the Redeemed Christian Church of God on the 7th of December 2017 when Prophet S.K Abiara was called upon to lead the congregation in prayers for the family.

Prophet Abiara said before he will lead the prayers he had two letters he would like to read to the congregation. He said the letters were written to him by couples experiencing tough times in their marriages.
The Evangelist read one of the letters where the writer wrote that his wife had been treating his mother and siblings badly and he was planning to send her out to their three children.
Prophet Abiara in response to the letter said he would not judge the matter by listening to the man alone as his wife may also have something to say over the matter, He, however, advised mothers-in-law to know their place in their son’s home.

Prophet Abiara said in Yoruba language which was translated into English by his Interpreter: “You Mothers-in-law should mind your own business, don’t overstep your boundaries in your son’s home.”
In the same way, He told wives to also respect their mothers-in-law reminding them that they will also be in that position in the future. He said: “You wives will also deliver children, let your mother-in-law get close to her son because whatever you do you will also reap when you become a mother-in-law.”
