Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Hajiya Khadija Ibrahim has defeated her stepson, Mohammed Ibrahim in the All Progressives Congress primaries for Yobe Federal Constituency seat.

Mohammed Ibrahim who had earlier reportedly refused to step down for his stepmom in the primary election was defeated hugely by her.

Returning Officer of the election, Prof Abba Gambo announced on Wednesday, October 3rd 2018 that Khadijah won her stepson with 1,295 votes to 15 votes.
