Two men were arraigned on Friday before a Chief Magistrates court in Ikeja for allegedly gang-raping a teenage girl.
The accused, identified as Opeyemi Ogunlusi (21), and Musa Haruna (22), both unemployed are resident at Old Abeokuta Motor Road, Agege.
The Police Prosecutor, Sgt. Raphael Donny, told the court that the offences were committed between June 23 and July 23, at the residence of the accused.
They were being tried on a three-count charge of conspiracy, abduction and gang rape.
Police Prosecutor Donny, revealed that the accused abducted the 17- year-old girl to their residence for a month and took turns to gang-rape her.
“It was one of the friends of the victim who sighted her in front of the residence of the accused who alerted her parents.
“The case was reported at the police station and the accused were apprehended,’’ he said.
The prosecutor added that the offences, contravened Sections 268, 269 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The two accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the three-count charges brought against them.
The accused were however granted bail in the sum of N100, 000 each, by the Chief Magistrate, Mrs Folakemi Davies-Abegunde with two sureties in like sum.
The case was later adjourned until August 28, for further hearing.
