Liquid diet: 3 menus to help you lose weight or detoxify
The liquid diet, as its name suggests, is made by drinking only liquids. In the menu are released ready-made foods such as shakes or juices and homemade soups, always with the ingredients whipped in the blender.

But it is important to know that because it is very restrictive it should not be done for long because it can leave the body without the nutrients necessary for the proper functioning of the body.

According to a nutritionist, the ideal period, if it is to make a detox, is a maximum of three days. For weight loss, a maximum of 15 days. “Otherwise the person may become weak,” he explains.

He explains that there are no contraindications in the liquid diet, but that it is necessary to have a professional accompaniment.

The liquid diet consists of maintaining a diet without any solid item. Nutritionist Marcelo Langsdorff explains that it offers basically two benefits:

Detoxify the body, which is good for health;
Eliminate some pounds, for those who want to lose weight fast.

He points out that in both cases, each organism will react in a different way. “A very restricted liquid diet can lead to a weight loss of about 10 kg in 15 days. But it depends on the person, his physical type, his routine and how the diet will be done. A person with obesity can perceive the results very quickly, as well as a sedentary person, “says the professional.

In the case of weight loss, light foods such as broccoli, eggplant, okra, asparagus, cucumber, cabbage and leaves in general can be consumed.

It is also important to use thermogenic options such as cinnamon, ginger, lemon, among others. Here are some menu options indicated by nutritionist Marcelo Langsdorff:

1. Menu Detox
Indication: With light and healthy items, it is ideal for those who want to detoxify the body.

Breakfast: Green juice (beat in the blender the juice of 2 oranges and 1 leaf of cabbage washed and without the stalk, drink without strain or, if you prefer, you can sweeten it with sweetener);

Lunch: Pumpkin Soup Detox;

Ingredients

1/2 Japanese peeled and chopped squash
1 chopped onion
3 garlic cloves
1 piece chopped ginger
Boiling water
Extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon salt
Black pepper

How to prepare: Heat the oil and garlic and the onion.

Add chopped pumpkin, a little more, add chopped ginger and saute more.

Put the boiling water until covering all the ingredients.

Remove from heat, wait to melt and beat in blender until homogeneous consistency.

Then put the mixture back into the same pan and bring to the heat to warm for about 3 minutes. Serve with a string of olive oil.

Snacks between meals: a glass of detox juice or vitamin made with skim milk and just a light fruit such as strawberry.

Dinner: a choice of soup – can be the same as lunch or another menu.

2. Reinforced menu
Note: with more ingredients in juice and soups recipes, it ensures more energy.

Breakfast: Green juice with coconut water (beat in the blender 2 cabbage leaves without the stem, 1 tablespoon of ginger juice, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and 200 ml of coconut water.

If you prefer, you can sweeten it with sweetener)

Lunch: Yam soup with spinach;

Ingredients

5 medium yams
1 cup chopped spinach
1 medium onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves
2 tablespoons golden flaxseed
1 teaspoon of ginger cubes
1 teaspoon thyme and ground rosemary
200 ml of water

Directions: Onion and garlic in a non-stick pan, add water, peeled yams and ginger, and cook until the yam is soft. Then knead the yam in the cooking water, add the spinach, set the salt and boil for another 2 minutes until the leaves soften. Put the flaxseed and serve.

Snacks between meals: a glass of detox juice or vitamin made with skim milk and just a light fruit such as strawberry.

Dinner: a choice of soup – can be the same as lunch or another menu.

3. Slimming Menu
Indication: it is ideal for those who want to lose weight quickly without having to go hungry.

Breakfast: Detox juice with passion fruit (beat in the potato blender with 1/2 passion fruit, 1/2 ripe mango without peel, 200 ml of coconut water. Use without straining. If you prefer, can sweeten with sweetener.

Lunch: Cabbage Soup

Ingredients

50 grams of chopped green cabbage
2 tablespoons butter cabbage on thin strips
1/2 cup chopped parsley
1 tablespoon grated ginger
100 grams of broccoli ninja in bouquets
1 tablespoon coconut oil
2 stalks of celery
100 grams of cauliflower
1 cube chuchu
2 garlic cloves
1 small grated onion
Salt and black pepper to taste
Boiling water

How to prepare: In a saucepan the garlic, onion, ginger and the celery in the coconut oil.

Add the cabbage, parsley, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and chuchu, cover with boiling water and cook until (do not let the vegetables become too soft).

Remove from the heat, let cool slightly, beat in the blender, put back in the pan, add salt and pepper, bring to the fire to heat and then serve.

Snacks between meals: A glass of detox juice or vitamin made with skim milk and just a light fruit such as strawberry.

Dinner: a choice of soup – can be the same as lunch or another menu.

“After the attack phase (as the so-called restrictive diet is called), the dietitian can start adding more nutritious foods to the menu and turning it into a balanced menu with all the vitamins needed for the body,” says the nutritionist.

How do I know if this diet is for me?
The liquid diet is basically indicated for those who want to lose weight fast in a short period of time or for those who wish to make a detox in the body. On the other hand, those who do this diet usually have difficulties to maintain the result, which can cause the dreaded concertina effect.

A fundamental recommendation before starting is always to look for a professional, who will evaluate each case and know which diet is most appropriate.

In addition, you will know how to indicate the best menu for each goal and follow the process closely.

APC: Nigerians still trust us, we will win 2023 elections convincingly

post-image

Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), claims it would “convincingly” win the next gubernatorial election in Anambra and the presidential election in 2023.

John Akpanudoedehe, national secretary of the APC caretaker committee, said on Thursday, October 21 at the inauguration of the state congress appeal committee in Abuja that all members of the APC should see disagreements “within the party as family disputes and should not seek to destroy the platform which helped them in the past.”

“With the huge membership strength we have recorded during the last registration and revalidation exercise, there is no doubt that Nigerians still trust us and that we will win all the upcoming elections convincingly, starting from the governorship elections in Anambra, to Osun, Ekiti, and to the 2023 general election,” he said.

“Therefore, there is a greater need to sustain the trust of our party men and women and indeed all Nigerians.
