Following Nigeria’s win over Zambia in a match which ended 1-0 in favour of Nigeria, Alex Iwobi’s father, Chuka Iwobi had congratulated his son who he gladly celebrated online on his facebook handle.
The father to the Arsenal Winger, Forward has dished out his joyous wishes of a proud father in his Facebook post which reads
So proud of you as a father – I am honoured that you played a part in our qualification to the World Cup in Russia.

In a similar post he posted on Saturday, 8th, the father of the 21-year-old Arsenal Winger, he also wrote;

In a similar development, Iwobi’s club, Arsenal FC seized some moment out to celebrate their own.

The Gunners celebrated the Nigerian on their official Twitter handle. “#BIG17 scores the winner as @NGSuperEagles beat Zambia in World Cup qualifying,” the Gunners tweeted.
In some other tweets, the club also tweeted.
“The Super Eagles are the first African side to reach Russia! “This looks sweet for @NGSuperEagles fans!#WCQ.”
Iwobi joined Arsenal while still at primary school and was first involved in a first-team match as an unused substitute in a League Cup match against West Bromwich Albion on 25 September 2013. He signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal in October 2015.
He is the nephew of Nigeria ex-professional footballer Jay-Jay Okocha.
