Those that attended the vocational training were taught extensively in both practical and theoretically the importance of maintaining and nourishing the skin colours.
They were also taught how to make cosmetics using organic natural raw materials.
The young man told dailyfamily.ng that guys (men) bleach their skin to become fair in complexion just to attract people especially women.
When asked why he thinks men bleach their skin, He said: “It is not really common, in 100% like 20% of guys bleach their skin. Why they bleach is because they want to become fair in complexion. They want to become fair to attract women.”
Adeyeri also pointed out that Nigerians now generally prefer fair-skinned people, he explained: “In Nigeria as a whole now, people prefer fair-skinned people than dark ones. The white people have influenced our choice so that people now believe more in fair people.”
He spoke also about what he has been able to learn during the training explaining that they have been taught to accept their skin colour whether it is fair or dark.
He added: “The Beauty In Black Foundation has made us realise that you need to be proud of your colour whether fair or dark.”
