Honeymoon Turn Bloody :Shark Attacked Bride During Honeymoon…what her husband did will surprise you.
Evan Carroll and his new bride – Sarah Illig went to Caribbean for honeymoon after their wedding. But the unfortunate happen while Sarah Illig was snorkeling when a 5ft Nurse shark attack her outstretched arm.
According to metro.co.uk,she is heard shrieking in horror as she swims as fast as she can towards her husband Evan Carroll holding the camera.
The couple were enjoying their honeymoon, and Sarah said she assumed it was her husband playing a prank on her.
Explaining the footage, she said: ‘My husband and I are in the Caribbean on our honeymoon.
‘Less than a second later I realised how much it hurt and looked past where my goggles were blocking my side vision to see the shark bigger than myself latch on to my arm.’
Sarah from Charleston, South Carolina, US, said she pulled her arm free as the shark released its grip. See the Video below:
She added: ‘This is a five foot nurse shark that typically never bite unless provoked via tail pulling, feeding, etc.
‘There was no tail pulling or feeding during my snorkel with them, as you can clearly see via video.’
Nurse sharks are a popular attraction with tourists in the Caribbean, who can pay to swim with them.
Travel guide Atlas Obscura describes them as ‘very friendly animals’ who won’t ‘gnaw off’ your leg as they normally feed on ‘little critters from the sand’.
