There was serious shooting during Sunday service at Burnette Chapel Church of Christ which led one person died and seven others wounded.
The incident occurred at a church in the southern U.S. state of Tennessee.
According to police on Twitter, six of those wounded were shot, while a seventh person which was a 60-year-old woman was killed in the parking lot of the church by pistol whipped.
The gunman was also reported injured and is currently in the hospital. No details were given about his condition or those of the shooting victims, who have not yet been identified.
The church is in Antioch – about 16 kilometres southeast of the state capital, Nashville.
