Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr says that the team will go all out to win Liberia in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers game holding on Friday.
The first game will take place at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.
But Rohr has advised his players to avoid a repeat of the 4-4 draw with Sierra Leone. Super Eagles are the overwhelming favourite to ensure maximum points against the Lone Stars.
Sierra Leone fought for a draw in a 2021 AFCON qualifier in Benin City from four goals down against the Eagles.
In his words:
“We can’t underrate anybody especially after what happened a few months ago in Benin City (4-4 draw with Sierra Leone),” Rohr stated.
“Liberia have had a good preparation and President George Weah has ensured they have a good team, so it won’t be easy against them.”
The coach also said that he is satisfied with his players’ physical shape, who play all but one outside the country.
“They’re hungry, they want to win this match. We’re ready.”
