Dr. Chris, a medical doctor and one of the spiritual sons and a former Pastor at Daystar Christian Center under Reverend Sam Adeyemi, left the church with his wife some years ago to start the Headstone Church with the full support of his Spiritual Father, Reverend Sam Adeyemi.
Late Pastor Funmi laboured with her husband to keep Headstone Church, Ilupeju, Lagos, going as the Assistant Pastor until her demise.

Members of the Headstone Church love to refer to the Late woman of God as Pastor Funmi. Her death came as a shock to many of her Children in the Lord. She has since been buried in Atlanta, United States of America.

The Service of Songs for Late Pastor Funmi Williams will take place today, Friday, 23rd February at Oregun, Lagos.
Dr. Chris wrote this about his late wife:
Thank You, Funmi, Thank You…indeed you have really helped me!
Best friend, right-hand, prayer-partner, sister, lover and more you’ve been to me…a true God-sent…indeed you have really helped me! Yes, I do not grieve like those without hope, you’re passed on to greater glory now, and I’ll encourage myself in the knowledge of the life you’re living now, as you have always delighted in the presence of our father!
Thank you, for choosing me in spite of all my flaws (numerous they were), for being my help-meet, for daily being a reminder of God’s love…smile…my heart is so full of gratitude…Funmi, rest on in the bosom of the One whose love no man comes close to…till we meet again! Good Night my Love!
