You may be the victim or one of the victims of the strange faces you saw earlier and ignored”.
The out going PPRO,  gave security tips to citizens, he warned that “showing off wealth and affluence at social events, using flashy cars and flaunting same, engaging in personal discussions with strangers could easily give one out to desperate criminals”
Elkanah further warned parents and guardians not to allow their children to open gates for strangers “it is dangerous for parents to send their wards or children to open gates or doors to strangers especially at nights”.
He said even adults should be weary and watchful while doing that particularly at odd hours of the night.
DSP Elkanah has been deployed to Akwa Ibom State Police Command. He served as PPRO, Niger State Police Command for two years.
He urged journalists in the state to extend same support and cooperation to his successor, Comfort Olawumi to enable her succeed.
The new PPRO, Comfort Olawumi was until her new posting, the Divisional Crime Officer (DCO), Suleja Area Command. She was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force in 2012 as Cadet ASP.
Olawumi is the second female to occupy the seat and 25 PPRO in the history of Niger State Police Command. Comfort holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Ilorin, Kwara state.
