The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Katsina said everyone, including the officers of the camp, must pass a test of the COVID-19 before being permitted to go to the Batch ‘B’ 2021 camp.
On Wednesday the NYSC 2021 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Guidance Course will commence.
This is included in a declaration from Alex Obemeata, NYSC Speaker in Katsina.
At the meeting with the heads of all collaborating agencies for the exercise, NYSC State Coordinator Ahidjo Yahaya gave the Directorate.
Mr. Yahaya stressed that the three-week orientation exercise, beginning on Wednesday, must secure the lives and property of all corps members.
”Adherence to COVID-19 non-pharmaceutical protocols is sacrosanct. Everybody must observe the safety measures, including the camp officials,” he said.
Several weeks ago Minister of Information Lai Mohammed accused the National Youth Service Corps of failure to comply with COVID-19 safety protocols in camps across the country.
Mr. Mohammed also claimed that more positive cases were reported because the federal government had increased COVID-19 testing.
