The Ariaria Police Divisional Headquarters in Abia state has been reportedly set ablaze by unidentified persons in the early hours of today.
It was reported that most markets in the city and other businesses activities have been shut down and people deserted the major streets in the towns as youth unrest spread round the city like wild fire following rumours that went viral in the early hours of today that soldiers burnt houses and killed some residents of Umuode near Aba and its environs, according to Sun reports.
It was gathered that security has been beefed up at the Aba Area Command Headquarters and other Police Divisions in the commercial city.
No vehicles were allowed to enter the adjourning roads at the Area Command headquarters.
