President Muhammadu Buhari met with Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on Thursday at the State House, Abuja.

The meeting was held immediately after the Progressive Governors’ Forum’s (PGF) meeting, which dragged into the late hours of Wednesday.

Although the purpose of the was not made known but it could be linked to Ambode’s seeking a renewal of mandate for a fresh four-year term.

The Incumbent governor would contest for the APC governorship ticket at a scheduled shadow poll with other two aspirant; former Lagos commissioners – Babjide Sanwo-Olu (Establishment &Training) and Dr. Obafemi Hamzat (Works & Infrastructure).
