by Family Center

The mother of a 32-year-old British Man, Jeremy Brooke murdered in South Africa has made a call to the foreign office in the United Kingdom to come to her aid and quicken the judicial process of her son’s murder trial.

32-year-old Jeremy Brooke was shot in his cottage after some five intruders broke into his apartment and parted with phones, a boat and vehicle. BBC report on the story gathered that he died on the two-hour journey to the hospital.

Late Mr Brooke was on a diving trip with his friends in 2014 when the incident happened.

Jeremy’s mother, Mariam Brooke Morris, a retired neonatal nurse, who is still in a state of oblivion has decried the delay in the murder trial of her son. Hence, she has cried out to the foreign office to hasten the judicial process.

As at the time of this report it was gathered that the five suspected killers of Jeremy had been arrested by the South African police.

However, Mrs Brooke wouldn’t have it fine with that as the judicial process seems to have lingered for too long after been listed eight times.

Mrs Brooke said.

“Every time something happens it’s like a slap in the face,”.

“You tell yourself you can deal with this, it’s not a problem, but it still sets you back.”

Although she said Victim Support had come to her aid, she, however, felt disappointed as the Foreign Office wouldn’t make any move yet.

“I sort of hoped they would act as a kind of intermediary between me and the justice system over there, to find out what was going on, why there were these hold-ups, and maybe get some answers, because I can’t,” she added.
