Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, billionaire kidnapper popularly known as Evans, has pleaded guilty to the kidnapping charges brought against him by the Lagos State Government as he appears in Court today the 30th of August 2017.
The kidnapper who was arraigned at the Ikeja High Court pleaded guilty to the two count charge of kidnapping brought against him by the state.
He appeared in the Court today along with five of his accomplices. Evans was represented by his counsel, Olukoya Ogungbeje.
After the charges were read to him, he simply responded, “I am guilty”.
According to Nigerian Tribune report, Ikeja High Court where Evans the popular billionaire kidnapper was arraigned was tightly secured by this morning. Heavily armed Policemen were seen on ground at the Court.
Evans was arraigned at Justice Hakeem Oshodi’s court at 10:00 am. The Team of Prosecution was led by the Lagos State Attorney-General, Mr Adeniji Kassim.
