Benue Killings: Hundreds of youths stages protest against Fulani killings

Benue state update:  Hundreds of youths stages protest against Fulani killings 

Youths in their hundreds took to the street in Makurdi the Benue state capital to protest against the killings of people of the state by Fulani herdsmen.

Report had it that the youths are now converged at the popular Food Basket Roundabout in Wurukum, Makurdi, the state capital.

The angry youths who wield posters are calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to “act now or resign.”

This protest has led to a heavy gridlock in the area, causing traffic obstruction for motorists travelling outside the country.

Many people going to their respective destination were seen stranded has there are no metropolitan commercial motors to take them to their various destinations.

It could be recalled that the State Governor, Samuel Ortom had confirmed that at least 20 people were killed after suspected Fulani herdsmen attacked
communities in Guma and Logo local government areas of the state between Monday and Tuesday.

Ortom disclosed this while briefing newsmen on Tuesday in Makurdi after the State security meeting.
