Breaking: Another attack launch in Jos as Gunmen kill many, raze houses
On Wednesday, August 25, gunmen launched a deadly and devastating attack on the Yelwan Zangam community in Jos North LGA of Plateau state.
A community resident, Yakubu Bagudu, who on Wednesday spoke to reporters, told the police that the weapons also ransacked numerous homes after killing about 30 people.
But Bagudu noted the deployment of security operators in the region to restore calm.
Mai Angwa Agida Isa, the leader of the community, while confirming the attack said the unknown gunmen came to the area at around eight o’clock in the morning.
According to Isa security forces, the bridge leading to the community could not be disabled immediately after a distress call had been issued, as attackers prevented any access to assistance.
He added that this is why by the time the policemen finally came to rescue residents, it was too late as the gunmen had wreaked serious havoc already.
In addition, it has been reported the development has been confirmed by the ASP Police Comandos Speaker, ASP Gabriel Ubah.
