Amosun reacts, says MAPOLY students will pay for all damages during protest

Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has vowed that Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ojere, Abeokuta students will pay for all the public assets they destroyed during their protest on Tuesday in Abeokuta.

The governor said this while reacting to the violent protest of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic’ Students at the ongoing meeting of the National Executive Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Abeokuta.

Amosun further reiterated that the striking lecturers of the polytechnic will not be paid salaries for the period they were on strike while asking them to return to classrooms.

The students were said to have allegedly destroyed some public assets like billboards, the passerby vehicles, materials being used for the construction of the pedestrian bridge in the area.
