9 Items You should have with you While traveling

Traveling on air or on land can involve lots of anxiety with lots of feeling of great anticipation of your destination. It takes lots of calmness to remember all that needs to be taken along with you while traveling.
It is often said that a traveler would have gone some reasonable distance before suddenly remembering that some travel items are missing in the luggage. But then, ensuring you get your luggage intact demands that you set up before your departure date, having the necessary items in place for your trip.
1. Your Passport In Case Of International travels
Going to any international destination demands that you keep your passport with you, most especially when you are traveling abroad. Your Passport carries your identity and most often will help you gain entrance into any country
2. Credit card.
Instead of carrying lots of cash that will make you get sanctioned, why not go with a credit card or two that contains your money. Traveling with lots of money is a burden on its own but when it is contained in one single plastic card, kept safely in a purse or wallet, then you can be sure you are financially covered for your trip, enjoying the fun while it last.
3. Transportation ticket
Make sure you have your bus, plane and train ticket with you intact. It does make lots of sense most especially when you have them in your mini bag. It gives you feeling of comfort and you have nothing to be anxious about.
4. Quick Medications (first aid)
Some travellers might be suffering from one ailment or the other, but the quick way to rise to a case of emergency is when you have your medications with you. Knowing your health condition translate to you having some basic pharmaceutical products around. Although airlines might have regulations on this, then, you can always ask to know their stand on this.
5. Emergency Contact person and Address
No one is predicting any case of unpleasantness but it is quite safe to have an individual who could be called upon in cases of emergency. Having an emergency contact person often helps to put the situation in order even before such contact arrives.
6. Service your car prior to your travel
You need to be conscious of unexpected malfunctioning that might arise from your car. Cars usually spring up with lots of surprises and you began feeling like you car was fine yesterday to suddenly spring up with a particular problem. Maintaining a monthly or at least once in every week maintenance agreement with your auto mechanic is not bad. When you do that you save yourself the stress of spending more on vehicle repairs.
7. Neck Pillow
Have you wondered why air travellers will always have neck pillows with them as part of their travel luggage? This item is very important where your neck comfort is concerned.
Travelling on an airplane without your neck pillow can be so frustrating such that your neck becomes so tough and it becomes hard to get a quick turn.  Having your neck pillow guarantees your neck, comfort all through your travel time.
8. Get Interesting Books to read
Flying or road travelling can be so boring most especially when interesting features you love are not on board an aircraft. So it is rather advised that you arm yourself with some good literature, preferably one which is filled with adventure to get you busy all through the journey.
9. Phone Charger
Even though you can virtually get phone accessories these days anywhere, but it is important that you travel with your phone original chargers. You wouldn’t want to use another charger which might seemingly look good but will eventually damage your phone.
When you have ensured that all these falls in its proper place, then travel anxiety will be reduced and put to rest, off you go to a memorable time to and from your destination.

Buhari: 12 million Nigerian children are afraid of attending school

post-image

According to President Buhari, 12 million children in the country have been traumatized and are frightened to attend  school because of the high prevalence of kidnapping.

On Tuesday, October 26, the President announced this during the launch of the Safe School Programme in Abuja.

The President, who was represented at the ceremony by his Chief of Staff, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, also stated that dealing with security concerns in the country has been difficult.

“The incessant attacks on the country’s education system such as kidnapping, abduction of pupils/students, increased activities of insurgence and general insecurity in our schools have exacerbated many factors responsible for the growing number of out-of-school children.

It is disheartening to note that even when the abducted students are released, the trauma of the incidences remains long in their minds; hence the plan to have teachers trained on psycho-social support.

APC: Nigerians still trust us, we will win 2023 elections convincingly

post-image

Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), claims it would “convincingly” win the next gubernatorial election in Anambra and the presidential election in 2023.

John Akpanudoedehe, national secretary of the APC caretaker committee, said on Thursday, October 21 at the inauguration of the state congress appeal committee in Abuja that all members of the APC should see disagreements “within the party as family disputes and should not seek to destroy the platform which helped them in the past.”

“With the huge membership strength we have recorded during the last registration and revalidation exercise, there is no doubt that Nigerians still trust us and that we will win all the upcoming elections convincingly, starting from the governorship elections in Anambra, to Osun, Ekiti, and to the 2023 general election,” he said.

“Therefore, there is a greater need to sustain the trust of our party men and women and indeed all Nigerians.
