8 Amazing ways to have twins
By Anna Dosu
People are very fascinated with twins and other multiples. It seems mysterious how one pregnancy can result in more than one baby.

The idea of having twins tends to polarise people. Some couples say they’d love the chance to parent two babies and others react in an entirely different way.
Technological advances have found that it is reasonably common for there to be more than one embryo conceived and implanted, but of these, only one is viable and survives.
You have to rely a lot on Mother Nature when it comes to your baby’s gender and genetics, however, If you are desperate for twins to add to your brood, then there are some things you can do.
Tips on how to get twins.
1. A healthy lifestyle
Women who have a low-fat diet, especially vegans and vegetarians, are less likely to have multiples than someone who goes for the whole milk and tucks into steak every day.
The possible causes of this are subtle hormonal changes in people with these different diets, as well as perhaps someone with a higher fat diet having a higher body mass index (BMI) – that’s a measure for checking how healthy your weight is in relation to your height.
That said, even if you are a veggie, there’s plenty of fertility superfoods to start adding to your diet if you are trying to conceive – whether that’s one baby or two!
2. Age
Older women produce higher amounts of FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) which increases the chance of dropping multiple eggs. However fertility rates also go down as women age, so waiting too long can also lower the chances of falling pregnant at all.
3. Taking fertility supplements
Folic acid is a B vitamin. Many doctors recommend taking it before and during pregnancy to reduce the risk for neural tube defects like spina bifida. Prior to becoming pregnant, doctors recommend taking about 400 micrograms of folic acid per day and increasing this amount to 600 micrograms during pregnancy.
4. Eating foods that boost fertility
It’s a fact that women who naturally conceive twins tend to live in areas where sweet potatoes/yams are a major part of their diet. Yams are supposed to increase the fertility of a woman and improve the ovulation process as well, thereby increasing the chances of getting twins.
5.what your husband should eat to boost his sperm
Foods which are high in zinc, such as oysters, green leafy vegetables, seeds, and bread, will help with sperm production – thus increasing his likelihood of being able to fertilize more than one egg.
6. Birth control
When you first discontinue birth control pills or almost any form of hormonal birth control, your body is temporarily confused. It has to adjust to this “new normal” and most of the time it doesn’t function exactly the way it is supposed to. During this transition, the chance of conceiving twins (or triplets, or more!) goes up.
7. Sex positions that will help you to conceive
Finding a sex position on how to conceive baby twins is not as easy as couples know. There are some sex positions that will help married couples to give birth with a twin baby.
If you’re yet to produce a twin baby maybe you have not yet get the right sex positions that will enable you to conceive a twin baby.
8. Having fertility treatments
One of the biggies that can boost your likelihood of having more than one child is having fertility treatment, such as IVF.
Whether a couple will birth twins or not depends on the mother’s gene, This is because the father’s genes do not decide whether or not the mother’s ovaries will produce two eggs for fertilization. This is determined entirely by the mother’s genetic make-up, along with other factors like the ones listed in this article.
